Cover Reveal–Wulfe Untamed

I’m thrilled to reveal the cover of Wulfe Untamed, the eighth and final book in my best-selling and award-winning Feral Warriors series! Wulfe’s book comes out January 28, 2014 and, yes, it’s already available for pre-order. Never fear, Feral fans, although the Daemon blade story arc is coming to a close, I fully intend to write more stories in the Feral world. Vhyper and Grizz will come after me if I don’t!

wulfe untamed low resWhen my publisher and I discussed the cover for this book, I requested several things. First and foremost, that we not show his face. Wulfe is so badly scarred. I knew they’d never put that on a cover, but a pretty-faced model just wasn’t right for this book. So they photographed him from the back. Perfect, perfect, perfect. (And, oh, what a back.)

Second, I wanted a wolf on the cover. Every one of my Feral Warriors books has the animal somewhere on the front, though sometimes it’s a hunt to find it (Fox’s book!). I wanted the wolf to leap from the cover of this one, especially with a title like Wulfe Untamed.

Third, he had to have his wolf’s-head armband. Beautifully done. And fourth, I really, really hoped the cover model’s build would resemble Wulfe’s with his wide-as-a-sofa shoulders and his gorgeous, muscular back. And, oh yeah, they got it right. Wouldn’t you just love to run your hands…uh-hm.

I also love the tats! With each cover, I usually get an email from my editor saying the artist wants to add tats, am I okay with that? I always say, “Sure. Whatever he wants to do.” (Avon has its own, fabulous, art department, and still uses cover models, photographers, artists, the works.) I always have fun seeing what they come up with!

    Love the cover of Wulfe, I´m a sucker of a great back *rawr* Re: Foxx´s cover? I can´t find the fox, I´ve been looking but, no where *shakes head* I´m going crazy LOL. Bought the e-book so I´m tilting my laptop screen, but it doesn´t help. The german version was easier! =D

    The fox is on his arm band. Also his tattoo on his chest appears to be the beginning of a fox face. Ears are what comes to mind.

    LOVE your books. Started with the Ferals books but went back and recently read the ESRI books too. Going to start on the Vampire ones next. Can’t wait for Wulfe’s book. If I’m not mistaken the fox is on his arm band right under the word stories below the title.

    I started reading the Feral Series and have loved each one. I didn’t realize this was the last, though. I’ve also read the Esri series which is good too, but I’m in love with your Vamp City series. Can’t wait for A Kiss of Blood.

    I’m glad you’re going to continue with the new Ferals.
    As for the fox on the cover of Love Untamed – I’d often wondered that. Of course it’s on the armband lower left corner but you can’t really see it, possibly in the tattoo but vague. One of the things that struck me when I first saw the cover was how the shadowed part of his face made me think of a fox, eye glinting. That’s my imagination for you. Fox is on the cover! LOL!

    I love your books! The Feral Warrior series was one of the first paranormal romances that I have read, I was hooked by the first chapter. Even though this series is ending with Wulfe’s story, you are still continuing later on. Can’t wait!! Thank you for writing an amazing series.

    All I can say about the cover of Wulfe’s book is…hot! I just love that he isn’t showing his face. This makes me want the book even more now! >.< I am going to go reread the other books while I wait!

    I cannot wait until this book comes out! AH! I love this cover, and the explanation behind it. I was disappointed when I saw the cover, but, yes, they would never allow a scarred up man on the cover. Best to leave Wulf’s handsome face a mystery! 😀

    I like the Wulfe cover – mysterious! I have to admit I was curious about seeing Wulfe’s face since he is described as being so scared. I think Lyon is my favorite feral warrior.

    When you said,’ There is a fox on the cover,” I quickly went to the cover a stared at it. I didn’t even realize that a fox was even put on there. I wanted to find it before I checked my answer. As for Wulfe’s cover I was wondering what Avon was going to come up with. I couldn’t see something like Fox’s cover where the face is a very important part. Not that any of the fans here would have any problem with it but new people who see the cover in stores might be put off. My favorite warrior hmmm believe it or not Wulfe might be my favorite. I guess I can feel for him. Confined for the most of the time in a wheelchair (MD) I can see where he is coming from. Having people see beyond that. For long time I felt like I was badly scarred with two legs that didn’t work right anymore.

      When I looked at his shoulder on the left-hand side, I started to see the silhouette of a fox’s head. Not sure if I am imagining it but I definitely see something there. 🙂

    I’ve been reading this series since I won the very first book. After reading the first book I knew I had to read any others in this series and each book has been as great or better than the last one. I’m so so glad to hear there will be more books, I love these characters that you’ve created and think the cover for Wulfe’s book is great. I had wondered if his face would be on the cover, in the shadows so we couldn’t really see it or how it was going to be done and I think this is marvelous. It really fits his character.

    I cannot wait for Wulfe’s book to come out, the cover is fantastic. The wolf on it looks so ferocious, just how Wulfe seems. And Wulfe himself, all I can say is YUM.. LOL!!On A Love Untamed the fox is on his armband, bottom left of cover.

    Wow, what a cover! I am definitely glad you let them work their magic because its amazing! I cannot wait for Wulfe’s book to come out! Even though its bitter sweet I am sure we will have more Feral surprises! Thanks for creating a great series where I can get lost and feel the magic!     My favourite cover was the very first one – Lyon! I started reading the series, just because of the cover. It caught my eye in the bookstore and I am so very glad it did, as I have really fallen for all the characters, their world, their story and your writing.     Oh wow! That is one amazing cover!! Then again, they all are! I honestly don’t think I could pick a favorite cover because they are all just… delicious? heehee I’m so excited to get to read Wulfe’s book! I have to admit I kinda panicked when you said it’d be the last, but then calmed when you promised Grizz and Vhyper would get their stories too. Had me worried there for a second!
