Hey Kim

I used to watch it when it first aired on t.v. but then I stopped watching it because I believe it interfered with me watching another show during the same time slot-I forget which one. It was ultra scary and it did remind me of a cross between Charmed and X-Files. I suppose I can catch up on the series on hulu.com, but I'm just so darn busy trying to watch stuff on regular t.v and trying to watch the entire series of Stargate SG-1 on hulu.com. Wowzers... it seems like I watch an awful lot of television, but really all I watch is Ghost Hunters and Ghost Hunters international on Wednesdays, Ghost Adventures on Fridays, and just recently I have become too hooked on Bonanza on TVLAND. What can I say I love old t.v. shows.

Shifter-that's why I LOVE my dvr. I just set it to record. LOL.

Okie-give it a try. Really, I think you'd like it. Its got the paranormal like Xfiles and Charmed and the snarkiness of Veronica Mars. We bought season 1 and just finished over the week end. We stayed up until 5am watching! Now, I'm going NUTS because I want season 2, 3 and 4 NOW. Have I mentioned that I'm not very patient?

Hey everyone,

I know no one has visited this post in a while but I have a serious question to ask, how come everyone once in a while there are new vampire and witch series to come out on television and there are no were or shape-shifter television series out? I mean I know Supernatural has done a few segments on shape-shifting beings but really does anyone see the problem with a decent production of a Were centered t.v. series or even a miniseries like one centered around a were lion, a were tiger, or the ever famous were wolf? Just something I'd thought I'd share.

I agree no TV show ....that I can think of....the producers probably don't read the books so they wouldn't know how to present it plus they would have to work with animals all the time and I guest that would get very costly. Maybe they would consider it now that Jacob from Twilight is out of the closet. ;)

Hi Sherr nice to meet you,

And I agree with you on that note about Jacob being a were wolf and everything- his character could be the one that is a seal breaker on a shape shifting mini-series; it would seem that once one person has a genius idea other people seem to take off running with it- sort like a snowball affect where things just keep adding on until the product is monumentally sized and out of control. Some one really ought to sit these t.v. producers down and have a serious talk with them, how come people that have the fascination about vampires have a series and or another movie coming out just about every other year where people who have a shape shifting preference have to make due with the old Underworld trilogy(which I love)and the newest 'Wolfman' movie starring Benicio Del Toro--not that I'm saying anything is wrong with those movies its just in both movies you never really see the positive light of being a shape-shifter on screen like us readers do in a writer's novel's. The portrayal of shape shifters go from being either a family based den or pack or prime like Ms. Pamela has so wonderfully written about in her Feral novels, then shape-shifters, 85% of the time, turn into the enemy on screen and thats all you see is them attacking or being attacked... viewers never get to see their docile, family-like existence as Ms. Pamela has written them to be or as Lora Leigh has created her Breed series to be.
Anyway I ramble on too much--all I'm saying is that a decent were/shape-shifter paranormal movie or t.v. show would be a nice change.

Shifterfan
I think....unfortunately... that they would a set series up to make them look like the bad guys. It's too bad....as you said....they don't make them the heroes and show how they adapt to society as written by most authors like Pamela, Sherrilyn Kenyon, Gena Showalter...etc..... Throw in a few bad guys (as every society has some) just to make it interesting.
I would be afraid they would make it corny.....I would like to see it a bit more serious like....The Vampire Diary (I've only seen the show a couple of times so I may be off base.) I don't think producer (who are mostly old men) realize the market for paranormal romance.....at least not till Twilight hit the media market. With the release of the Wolfman they thought it would have the same sensation as Twilight....however they didn't emphasize the romance...the adventure....or the mature love that we as adult seek; they went after gratutious, random ripping apart.
Now I'm rattling along..... :o

Well, I agree with you. There should be a good show with shifters. BUT I'm guessing it would be too expensive to make a series. The effects have to be pretty expensive. Maybe now with New Moon and Wolfman, someone will tackle it.
